I frequently hear friends and family speak of their Bucket Lists with fond determination. “I’m going skydiving.” Not me. “I’m going to own a villa in Tuscany!” As in, Under the Tuscan Sun?? “I’m jumping off the Stratosphere in Vegas!” Seriously? Who comes up with this stuff?

I, only recently, started to compose my own list of possibilities and quickly realized just how hard it is… not necessarily to come up with wishes for my list, but to come up with anything that wasn’t related to travel and beaches. And then I had an epiphany. The old saying ran true—“To each, their own.”  Maybe the idea of “skydying” isn’t my cup of tea, but I’m pretty sure owning a boat tour company in the Caribbean isn’t on everyone’s bucket list either.

John Lennon once said, “Life is what happens to you while you are busy making other plans.” You got that right brother. I must be missing a lot, since I plan A LOT!

So Here are my bucket list plans as of now (don’t judge):

∙Own a white couch and keep it clean

With no kids and a significantly lazy dog, I should be able to pull it off. That will be a 2012 goal!

∙Live on an island with electric blue water

Uhh umm. Dan. I’m talking to you on this one.

∙ Fly first class everywhere for 1 year

This should be a more achievable one! The trick to this one is definitely to become and “elite” flier with whatever airline you adore.

∙ Go to Carnival in Rio

I have always lusted after sparkly, colorful worlds of excitement. Carnival seems to have all         those things and so much more… Sounds kind of like Mardi Gras in NOLA, just with more drug cartels!

 ∙ Start a boat tour company in the Caribbean

I would do it in Tahiti, but let’s face it, it’s expensive and FAR. At least in the Caribbean I can get easy flights directly home if I need some true Mexican food.

∙ Own a puppy farm

Bizarre, I know. But who doesn’t love puppy breath? I love puppies like most people love babies. (If you really want to lust over them, check out this video!)

∙ Run a half marathon

Easier said than done.

∙ Stay in an overwater bungalow in the Seychelles.

∙ Have a bottle of Screaming Eagle in Napa Valley.

Pretty sure when I signed up for their mailing list online, there was something said about a 7 year waitlist. This one is on their end to fill.

∙ Take a world cruise.

Something like THIS would work…

 

And those are just SOME of the things on the event list. If I were to make a list of places I want to go, it would be MUCH longer. Some of those are:

∙ Naples

∙ Barcelona

∙ Mykonos

∙ The Seychelles

∙ Maldives

∙ the list goes on…
