Yes. We speak funny. And yes, we drink Pimm’s in the winter.
Our dear friends Katharine and Saad are lucky enough to live in the charming little town of Henley on Thames in the UK. While on our whirlwind vacation at the beginning of the year, we were hosted by our besties at their amazing house in Henley (complete with a never-ending set of stairs!).
Honestly, I didn’t know what to expect. I had heard stories of Iron Maiden concerts on the river, drunken quiz nights at the local pub Magoo’s, and an amazing house with a view of the Regatta race-course complete with champagne-fueled picnics on the river bank. It sounded like bliss. And it was.
Check out some of the pictures of this quaint little town about an hour outside London. The people were amazingly friendly (one we deemed the “Street Concierge” due to her help with a curb-side restaurant reservation), the pubs were entertaining and the streets picturesque. Just stay away from the hissing swans.
If you’re ever in London and want a relaxing day trip, head down to Henley on Thames for an enchanting day.
Thanks to our amazing hosts, Katharine and Saad, for sharing your beautiful home, delicious lasagna, and countless laughs.
Great post and wonderful photos!
