my love is 30.

I don’t even know where to begin.

I’m a party planner by nature. So when I realized D’s 30th birthday was quickly approaching, I decided it had to be big– like really BIG.

A plan was hatched to take a “booze cruise” on Royal Caribbean down to the Bahamas during the weekend of D’s birthday. We’d spend some time in South Beach, thaw out from the cold on the pristine beaches of the Caribbean and have some fun with 11 of our best friend.

Perfection.

Oh, and we had to throw in some theme days just for the extra attention of our crazy group. Enter: mustache theme, formal night (on an incredibly informal cruise ship) and a surprise group t-shirt of Dan’s face which I photoshopped to make look like a cartoon.

It was a success beyond my wildest dreams and I often caught D laughing so hard his sides hurt. Thank you to all our best friends who traveled with us and helped make D’s impending “old age” a milestone to be remembered.
