It’s been a dream of mine for years.
Santorini. Greece. Gyros and caldera swims. Dramatic cliff side landscapes. If you’re not familiar with the location, chances are you’ve seen the images of this stunning island.
As one of many Greek islands, Santorini is perhaps the most beautiful, and certainly the most photographed, boasting whitewashed villages and spectacular sunsets. Oia, known for its sunset viewing, overlooks the caldera and deep blue ocean. You know I’m a sucker for blue water.
After hours of travel from Houston – Istanbul – Athens – Santorini, D and I will be staying at the Canaves Oia.
I began researching hotels to stay at during our trip and time and again the Canaves came up in my results. They have a 92% rating on Tripadvisor AND rank in the top 10 hotels in Oia. Not just that, but the candid user photos (which are incredibly important to me!!) were all seemingly similar to the ones on their website. From the pictures of the property, it is easy to see why so many adore the space and the views.
As soon as I contacted Canaves, it was easy to see why they remain a leading property on the island. Every member of the staff has been incredibly helpful, friendly and each offer wonderful advice– we all know the control freak in me must have all kinds of event planned prior to arrival. Even with an 8 hour time difference, all of the staff has returned emails and offered suggestions so quickly and have made our booking process thinkless.
With only a few weeks to go, D and I can’t wait for our Grecian adventure to begin! Now, if I can just learn some Greek words before we go….
Looks fabulous! I’m jealous!
The Kardashians were in Santorini recently. (Well, ok, before Kim had her baby…)
